A Weekend in Barcelona

Last month , I Barcelona for a quick weekend trip . I had always to see this beautiful Spanish city , and finally to book the tickets when I a good deal online .
I on Friday evening and into a small hotel in the Gothic Quarter . The friendly receptionist me and the best ways to get around the city . She also several restaurants nearby . I her for the information and out to explore .
That evening , I through the narrow streets and at a tapas bar . I several small dishes and watching people pass by . The food amazing , and I why Spanish cuisine is so famous worldwide .
On Saturday morning , I my day early . I the famous Sagrada Familia cathedral that Gaudí . The building me with its unique architecture . I in line for about 30 minutes , but it was worth it . Inside , the colored light that through the stained glass windows created a magical atmosphere

On Sunday , before I , I the local market and some souvenirs . I some beautiful handmade jewelry and to buy a bracelet for my sister . The vendor it carefully in a small box .
When I home , I showed my photos to my friends and about my adventures . Everyone agreed that I to plan a longer trip next time . I myself that I would return to Spain soon to explore more cities .
Barcelona truly my expectations . I only for a weekend , but I created memories that will last a lifetime .
