De vertellende - ik heeft reeds deelgenomen aan een gebeurtenis of was getuige van een gebeurtenis . De verteller vertelt het verhaal in de tijd .

Bij het - ik perspectief beleef je het verhaal door de ogen van het personage dat zelf meedoet aan de gebeurtenissen . Als lezer weet je enkel wat de ik - persoon op dat moment weet , denkt en voelt .
