تضاريس الأرض تمثل لوحة طبيعية متنوعة تضم الجبال والهضاب والسهول، وتختلف هذه التضاريس من قارة لأخرى من حيث الشكل والموقع والامتداد. وتؤثر هذه الفروقات في المناخ، والنباتات، والأنشطة الاقتصادية. تنقسم تضاريس سطح الأرض إلى:
- الجبال: أراضٍ مرتفعة ذات قمم حادة أو منبسطة.
- الهضاب: أراضٍ مرتفعة ولكنها منبسطة نسبيًا.
