About this activity
Hello, learners!
Today, you’ll play a fun game called Matching Pairs. Your job is to match each fraction problem with the correct answer.
Here’s what you need to do:
Step 1: Look at each math expression on the screen.
It may be an addition or subtraction problem with fractions.
Step 2: Think carefully—are the denominators the same or different?
If they’re the same, just add or subtract the numerators.
If they’re different, find the least common denominator first.
Step 3: Click the problem on one side, then click its matching answer on the other side.
For example:
If you see “1/4 + 2/4,”
you’ll match it with “3/4.”
Because the denominators are the same, just add 1 + 2 = 3.
If you see “2/3 + 1/6,”
remember to change both to a common denominator—6.
That becomes 4/6 + 1/6 = 5/6.
Remember!
Don’t rush—take your time and think carefully.
If you make a mistake, no worries! Just try again.
When you're done, check your score and see how many you got right.
Can you match them all? Let’s find out!
