Lina is a Form 1 student who wants to buy a new pencil case . Her mother told her that she must save her own to get it . At first , Lina didn ? t understand how to manage her spending . Every time she got some money , she spent it on and games .
One day , her teacher gave a lesson about money and taught the class about . The teacher explained that it is important to plan how we use our money so we don ? t waste it . Lina learned that she could divide her money into : savings , needs , and wants .
Lina started saving RM2 every week . She kept the money in a small . After five weeks , she had saved RM10 . She was happy to see her growing !
Sometimes , Lina wanted to spend the money on toys , but she reminded herself of her goal . She also learned to prices before buying things . That way , she could choose items that were cheaper and still good .
One weekend , Lina went shopping with her mother . She found the same pencil case she liked on for RM8 instead of RM12 ! She bought it and still had money left .
Her mother praised her for being and making smart choices . Lina felt proud because she reached her goal without borrowing or asking for more money . Now , Lina knows that saving and spending wisely is a good to have .
