" Earthquake Drill at School "
On morning , our school held an drill to prepare students for emergency situations . At exactly 9 : 30 a . m . , a loud alarm was sounded across the school to indicate the beginning of the drill . All students immediately under their desks , covering their heads with their hands as they were taught during the safety briefing a day earlier .
After one minute , the guided us calmly out of the classrooms to the school yard . We walked in a , staying close together , and avoided running to prevent panic or accidents . and emergency officers were already waiting on the field to observe and assist the drill . They reminded us to always stay calm and follow during a real earthquake .
The event ended with a short talk from the school and one of the officers . They explained what we did well and what needed . The entire drill took about 45 minutes . It was a valuable that made us feel more confident in facing a real disaster .
