We used two containers : one with water and one with clean water .

We added , soil , and leaves to make the water dirty .

The formed a layer on top of the water .

Dirt started to at the bottom of the container .

Some pieces of stayed in the water or floated on top .

After some time , the water began to bad .

We used our eyes to the changes over time .

Dirty water can harm and fish that live in it .

Water pollution can also hurt that grow in rivers and lakes .

It is important to keep water for living things .
