Last year , I started a new job at a big company . On my first day , I was so I could hardly speak . I didn ? t know anyone , and everything felt so .

Luckily , my manager Emma was very . She showed me around and was incredibly patient when I a lot of questions . She never got annoyed , even when I small mistakes .

There was one colleague , Mark , who seemed a bit . He didn ? t say hello and often ignored me in meetings . Later , I found out he was jealous of Emma because she had been last month , and he had not .

As the weeks went on , I became more in my work . Emma often praised me for my ideas and called me " one of the most people on the team . " That really motivated me .

We sometimes stayed late at work , talking about movies . Emma ? s recommendations were always so entertaining that I got on a new series every week ! Now , I even look forward to Mondays .
