El voleibol es un deporte individual que se juega entre dos equipos de seis jugadores cada uno

El voleibol de sala, playa y sentado son ejemplos de estos

El voleibol se juega en partidos de 3 o 5 sets. Los sets se juegan a 25 puntos (excepto el último set, que se juega a 15 puntos)

El campo tiene unas dimensiones de 60 metros de largo por 19 metros de ancho, y está dividido en dos mitades iguales

Cada equipo tiene seis jugadores, y cuando ganan un punto, rotan las posiciones de manera que cada jugador pase por todas las posiciones del campo.
