La circunferencia es el conjunto de todos los puntos que están a igual distancia de un punto fijo llamado centro.

Toda cuerda no es un diámetro, pero todo diámetro sí es una cuerda especial que pasa por el centro.

El radio en un plano topográfico puede representar una distancia constante desde un punto central a un perímetro de protección.

El arco es la parte curva que representa un tramo del límite de una zona circular en un plano topográfico.
