True! Those fractions are equivalent, which means that the represent the SAME amount. Just like if I eat 1/2 of a pizza and Mr. Mario eats 2/4 of the pizza, we are eating the same amount. Yum!

True! The common factors of 6 and 18 are 1, 2, 3, and 6. So 6 is the GCF or greatest common factor. Now, I can just divide by 6 to get 1/3 in one step!

The GCF (greatest common factor) of 9/12 is 3 so if you divide both the numerator and the denominator by 3 the answer is 3/4

The greatest common factor is 2 so you divide numerator and denominator by 2 to get the reduced fraction 2/7
