D'on ve el nom de les notes musicals ?
El monjo italià d'Arezzo ( 995 - 1050 ) és considerat com el pare de la música occidental . Aquest monjo benedictí va perfeccionar musical fent servir el , un sistema de 4 línies marcades amb colors diferents ( per al fa i per al do ) i donant un so diferent a cada nota segons el lloc que ocupava al tetragrama .
Guido s'havia adonat que molts cops els monjos no podien recordar els cants perquè les partitures d'aquella època no indicaven ni ni la de les notes , i les melodies s'havien d'aprendre de a base de repetir - les . Com que se n'havien d'aprendre moltíssimes , les equivocacions eren habituals .
Guido també es va adonar que els sons que començaven cada un dels d'un himne a Sant Joan formaven una ascendent , i va agafar la síl·laba de cada un per donar nom a les notes : ut , re , mi , fa , sol , la . De cop , qui sabia aquest sistema podia cantar una sense haver - la sentit mai abans , només li calia llegir la !
Fixa't que el es deia ut ; al segle XVII li van canviar el nom per a què fos més fàcil de pronunciar . I el no hi era ; no va ser fins el segle XVI que s'hi va afegir .
