Peter Rabbit (2018 Film) Summary

The 2018 live-action/CGI film Peter Rabbit brings Beatrix Potter's beloved character to life with a modern twist. The story centers on Peter Rabbit (voiced by James Corden) and his mischievous family – Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail – who spend their days raiding the vegetable garden of Mr. McGregor. When the grumpy old Mr. McGregor unexpectedly dies, the rabbits rejoice, believing they now have free rein of the garden.

However, their celebration is short-lived as Mr. McGregor's meticulous and obsessive great-nephew, Thomas McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson), inherits the property. Thomas, an uptight London department store worker, views the rabbits as pests and is determined to rid the garden of them. This sets off an escalating war between Peter and Thomas, filled with elaborate traps, clever schemes, and chaotic chases.

Complicating matters is Bea (Rose Byrne), a kind-hearted artist who lives next door and has a deep affection for the rabbits, particularly Peter. She sees the beauty in nature and initially sides with the animals, unaware of the full extent of Peter's antics or Thomas's true intentions.
