About this activity

La Crisis de los Misiles en Cuba fue un conflicto entre Estados Unidos y la Unión Soviética en octubre de 1962, durante la Guerra Fría. Se originó cuando Estados Unidos descubrió que la Unión Soviética estaba instalando misiles nucleares en Cuba, a solo 150 km de sus costas. Esto desató una intensa confrontación de 13 días que puso al mundo al borde de una guerra nuclear. Finalmente, el conflicto se resolvió de forma pacífica cuando la URSS aceptó retirar los misiles de Cuba a cambio de que EE.UU. no invadiera la isla y retirara sus misiles de Turquía.
