Everyone laughed when I walked in dripping water across the floor. It started raining just as I reached the school gate. My shoes made squishy noises with every step I took. I didn’t have an umbrella, so I was soaked by the time I got to class. 2 The Broken Vase Pieces of glass flew in every direction. The vase wobbled for a second, then crashed to the floor. I froze in panic, unsure what to do. I was dusting the shelves when I accidentally hit the vase with my elbow. Then I grabbed a broom and carefully started cleaning it up before anyone noticed. 3 The Surprise Party It was the best birthday surprise I’ve ever had. I stepped inside, a little confused because I expected people to be there. Suddenly, the lights turned on and everyone shouted, “Surprise!” Balloons and streamers were everywhere. When I opened the door, the lights were off and the room was quiet.

Luckily, my teacher let me dry off with a towel and gave me an extra sweatshirt.
