La es un tipo de estudio que describe , situaciones o grupos tal como existen , sin modificarlos . Sirve para conocer y detallar la realidad de un tema , identificar patrones o comportamientos y sentar la base para futuras investigaciones más profundas . Sus métodos comunes incluyen encuestas , observación y análisis de documentos . No manipula variables y responde preguntas de qué , quién , cuándo , dónde y cómo . Puede utilizar datos cuantitativos y cualitativos para describir características y relaciones en un contexto real .

Para qué sirve la investigación descriptiva :

Conocer y la realidad de un tema específico .

patrones , tendencias o comportamientos .

Servir de base para explicativas o experimentales .

Apoyar la toma de decisiones en o proyectos .

No manipula variables , solo y describe .

Responde a qué , quién , cuándo , dónde y cómo , pero no al por qué .
