1

For a Series Circuit The total resistance of a series circuit is the sum of the individual resistances.

2

If an extra resistor is added in a parallel circuit, the total resistance of the circuit will increase.

3

If the resistance of a parallel circuit increases, the total current will also increase.

4

The voltage across each resistor in a parallel circuit, is the same as the source voltage.

5

In an AC series RL circuit, decreasing the resistance (R) while keeping the reactance (XL) constant will cause the phase angle (ϕ) to decrece.

6

Phase angle is affected by changing the values of resistance and reactance in the series RC circuit.

7

In a series RLC circuit, the phase angle is only determined by the equivalent reactance (Xeq)

8

Decreasing the inductive reactance (XL), keeping R and XC the same will cause IL to increase the phase angle (ϕ) to increase.
