When his school was closed in a small village in India , headmaster Prasad Varma faced a big challenge . Varma had the educating over 260 children , but only a students had mobile phones , and connectivity in the village was poor . But students wanted to learn , so the lessons was huge . Parents also knew the education and didn ? t want their children to lose their reading , writing , and maths . So Varma ? s solution was . . . loudspeakers !
There is a lot of teachers and learning in the village , as well as a strong community , so when Varma decided to put up the loudspeakers on trees and walls at different locations , everyone helped out . During lessons , students sat near the loudspeakers while teachers used a microphone and taught from their classrooms .
Varma is happy with the outcome . ? So far , the lessons have been a success . Students have a good what we are teaching , ? he explains .
