Ikhtiar adalah Usaha maksimal yang dilakukan manusia dengan akal, tenaga, dan kemampuan yang Allah berikan sebelum menyerahkan hasilnya kepada Allah.

tawakal adalah Tidak perlu berusaha, cukup menyerahkan segalanya kepada Allah tanpa melakukan apa pun.

Ikhtiar dilakukan terlebih dahulu dengan sungguh-sungguh, kemudian hasilnya diserahkan kepada Allah (tawakal).

Contoh sikap ikhtiar dan tawakal dalam kehidupan sehari-hari adalah Tidak belajar sama sekali, hanya berdoa agar lulus ujian.

Mengapa seorang muslim harus berikhtiar sebelum bertawakal? Karena Allah memerintahkan manusia untuk berusaha, dan hasilnya adalah hak Allah untuk menentukan.
