Du kender nok honningbien , som summer omkring om sommeren og samler nektar og . Den er stribet i og orange ? og så er den helt blød af . Hvis en honningbi er glad og og sidder stille , kan du prøve at ae den med en .

Bien har små over det hele , men flest på hoved og forkrop . Hårene isolerer , så bien kan holde . Og så sætter pollen sig let i biens hår . Det spiser bierne . Bien reder sig med sine - og samler pollen i klumper bagbenene . Så er det let at få med hjem til bi - boet . Det ser ud som om bien har bukser på .

Naturligt vil honningbien bygge deres bo i et hult . Her vil de unge bygge lodrette plader af bivoks , som de sveder ud af deres bagkropsled . På hver side af pladen bygger bierne små , som er . I nogle af cellerne gemmer bierne deres ? og i andre ligger æg , og pupper . Bierne tætner boets inderside med propolis , som de laver af blandet med spyt og harpiks fra træernes knopskæl . Biavleren efterligner det hule træ med sine , og bierne ind og bygger deres celler der .
