النون الساكنة تُنطق عندما تقع في نهاية الكلمة وتُلفظ بحركة نون.

للتنوين ثلاثة أنواع: فتح، كسر، وضم.

التنوين يأتي فقط على الحرف الأول من الكلمة ولا يظهر على الحرف الأخير.

النون الساكنة تُقرأ ولا تُنطق عند الوقف.

النون الساكنة والتنوين لا يظهران في المصحف الشريف.

تُكتب علامة التنوين على الحرف الأخير من الكلمة.

التنوين يُعبِّر عن النصب أو الجر أو الرفع في الاسم المنتهي بالكلمة.

8

يمكن أن يحلّ التنوين محل حرف العلة في الكلمة بشكل دائم.

9

التنوين ليس له أي علاقة بالإعراب في اللغة العربية.

10

التنوين يكتب في آخر الكلمة كعلامة صوتية وليس كحرف منفصل.
