المشبَّه هو الشيء الذي يُقارن به في التشبيه.

التشبيه يهدف إلى تقريب المعنى وجعله أكثر وضوحاً وإيصالاً.

التشبيه البلاغي يقتصر فقط على الأدوات البسيطة مثل 'كـ' ولا يمكن أن يستخدم 'مثل'.

المشبه به هو الجزء المقارن وليس له علاقة بوجه الشبه.
