adalah salah satu rukun Islam yang wajib dikerjakan oleh orang dewasa yang memenuhi syarat kekayaan . Sistemnya sederhana : setiap tahun , jika harta pemilik mencapai dan telah melewati , sebagian dari tersebut harus disalurkan kepada , yaitu delapan kelompok penerima yang disebutkan dalam al - Quran . Zakat tidak hanya membersihkan harta , tetapi juga membantu menjaga solidaritas umat . Penerima bisa berupa fakir miskin , amil , muallaf , budak yang merdeka , orang yang berhutang , , atau pelaku perjalanan . Banyak komunitas mengajak umat menjalankan zakat melalui lahan , lembaga , atau zakat fitrah .
