El error , también llamado error determinado , se origina o por un fallo del diseño del experimento o por un fallo del . Si se repite el experimento exactamente de la misma manera , este error se vuelve a producir . En principio , el error sistemático puede y corregirse , aunque puede ser una tarea difícil
El error , también llamado error indeterminado se origina por efectos de variables ( y quizá incontrolables ) en cada medida . El error aleatorio tiene igual probabilidad de ser positivo o negativo . Siempre está presente y no puede ser . Un error aleatorio es el asociado a la lectura de una escala . La es una medida de la reproducibilidad de un resultado .
Si se mide una cantidad varias veces y los valores concuerdan mucho entre sí , se dice que la medida es . Si los valores varían mucho , la medida no es muy precisa .
La describe la proximidad del valor medido al valor . Si se dispone de un estándar conocido , la exactitud mide la proximidad del valor medido al valor certificado .
