MTGG - Carla's Story - First ConsultationOnline version MTGG - Carla's Story - First Consultation by Blum 1 Carla: Hi. Um… I’ve just been feeling really tired. Like, exhausted all the time. GP: Good. Any history of bowel problems in the family? Carla: Thank you, doctor. GP: Okay, tiredness. Can you tell me a bit more? GP: You’re welcome. We’ll be in touch as soon as we have the results. GP: Alright. It could be something like low iron, maybe anaemia. Carla: No, I’m eating normally. GP: And when the results come back we’ll see if we need to do anything else. GP: Hi Carla, come on in. What can I do for you today? Carla: Not that I know of. Carla: No, none of that. Just the tiredness. Carla: Yeah… it’s been going on for a while. Even just walking upstairs makes me feel out of breath. GP: Right. That sounds difficult. When did you first notice it? Carla: Yes, please. I was actually hoping to get some blood tests, just to check. Carla: A few months ago, I guess. But lately it’s worse. GP: Okay. And how’s your appetite? Any weight loss? GP: Any other symptoms? Things like stomach pain, changes in your bowels, or any bleeding? GP: No problem. We’ll arrange that today. GP: I think the best next step is to do a blood test. Does that sound okay?
