Cada equipo tiene seis jugadores en la cancha durante el juego.

El objetivo es que la pelota toque el suelo dentro de la cancha contraria.

Si la pelota alcanza la red y cae fuera, se otorga punto al saque.

Después de cada saque, el equipo puede realizar cuatro toques.

Un equipo tiene hasta tres toques para devolver la pelota al otro lado.

En voleibol se permite ganar un punto si la pelota se queda atrapada en la red.

Los sets se juegan a 25 puntos y hay que ganar por dos.

El líbero puede bloquear y atacar por encima del hombro.

La red mide exactamente 2,50 m para hombres y 2,24 m para mujeres.

El saque puede ser por encima de la cabeza o con el antebrazo.
