A sucessão é o processo de mudanças na composição de espécies de um ao longo do tempo . Existem dois tipos principais : a , que acontece em locais sem vida anterior ( como ilhas vulcânicas ) , e a , que ocorre após a perturbação de uma área previamente habitada ( como após um incêndio ) .

Sucessão : Ocorre em ambientes onde não havia vida , como rochas recém - formadas pela lava de um vulcão . As espécies modificam o ambiente , criando condições para que mais possam aparecer .
Sucessão : Acontece em locais onde já existia , mas que foi perturbada por um evento como um , desmatamento ou tempestade . Este processo é mais que a primária , pois o solo e nutrientes já existem .
