Historia del asesinato de la dinastía de los Omeyas en el 750

En el año ocurrió un hecho muy importante en la historia del mundo islámico : el fin de la dinastía . Los omeyas habían gobernado el gran Imperio Islámico desde durante casi 90 años , pero muchos estaban descontentos con ellos porque pensaban que se habían vuelto y poderosos . Entonces , un nuevo grupo llamado los abasíes organizó una rebelión .

Cuando lograron vencer a los omeyas , invitaron a los miembros de esa familia a un en la ciudad de Damasco , fingiendo querer hacer las paces . Pero era una : durante la comida , los abasíes los atacaron y casi a todos . Solo un príncipe , llamado , logró escapar . Huyó hasta al - Ándalus ( la actual España ) , donde fundó un nuevo omeya con capital en Córdoba .
