About this activity

La familia Gómez y la continuidad educativa: La familia Gómez vive en un barrio de la periferia de Montevideo. Tienen tres hijos: Sofía (14 años, terminando la educación primaria), Mateo (10 años) y Lucía (6 años). El padre trabaja como obrero de la construcción y la madre realiza tareas de limpieza por horas. Sus ingresos son muy limitados. Sofía es una estudiante brillante y tiene mucho interés en continuar la educación media, pero sus padres están preocupados por los gastos de los materiales, el transporte y la posibilidad de que Sofía deba empezar a trabajar para ayudar con los ingresos familiares, como es común en su entorno. Ellos valoran la educación, pero se sienten abrumados por la situación económica.
