La Ley 2543 se debe coordinar con la normativa nacional, especialmente con la Ley 17.557, el Decreto 842/97 y las normas de la ARN.

La autoridad de aplicación de la Ley 2543 es el Ministerio de Salud de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.

El objetivo central de la Ley 2543 es proteger la salud y el medio ambiente ante radiaciones y regula su uso, control y fiscalización en la Ciudad.

La Ley 2543 establece un límite de dosis específico de 30 mSv/año para trabajadores.

La Ley 2543 detalla exhaustivamente la gestión de residuos radiactivos, incluyendo transporte y disposición final.
