Explicación

La división es la operación matemática que nos ayuda a repartir una cantidad inicial en partes exactamente iguales.

Repartir 8 manzanas entre 4 amigos da como resultado 2 manzanas para cada uno, porque $4 \times 2 = 8$.

La cantidad en cuanto se va arepartir (el divisor) es el número que se coloca dentro del signo de ángulo o 'casita'.

El resto es el número que queda después de hacer el reparto y que no se puede dividir más.

Una división es exacta cuando se reparte todo y el resto es cero, como en el ejemplo de las 16 zanahorias.

Si repartes $4 \times 4 = 16$ galletas, y tenías 17, entonces sobra $17 - 16 = 1$ galleta de resto.
