Jezus was samen met zijn op weg naar Jeruzalem . Onderweg kwam Hij aan in Jericho en trok door de stad . Daar woonde . Hij was de belangrijkste tollenaar en hij was , want hij vroeg teveel aan de mensen . Hij wilde wel eens zien wat voor iemand is , maar het lukte hem niet : er waren teveel mensen en hij was . Daarom rende hij vooruit en klom in een wilde vijgenboom om Jezus te kunnen . Wanneer Jezus bij die plek kwam , keek Hij en zag Zacheüs . Hij riep : ? Zacheüs , kom vlug naar beneden ; vandaag moet Ik bij je logeren . ? Zacheüs kwam vlug naar en ontving Jezus met vreugde . Iedereen die het zag sprak er schande van . Ze zeiden : ? Kijk nou , Jezus logeert bij een ! ?
Zacheüs zei tegen Jezus : ? Heer , hierbij geef ik de van mijn bezit aan de , en wie ik teveel heb doen betalen , zal ik keer terugbetalen ? . Jezus zei : ? Vandaag is dit huis gered . Want Ik ben gekomen om te zoeken en te redden wat is ? .
