About this activity

This interactive quiz game is designed to help students practice and review the Past Simple Tense in a fun and engaging way.
The game includes 10 multiple-choice questions about regular and irregular verbs in the past tense.
Each question has three possible answers, and students must choose the correct one to earn points.

During the game, students will see sentences with missing verbs, such as “Yesterday I ___ (go) to the park.” They have to decide which form of the verb fits best — for example, went.

This activity encourages students to recall verb forms, improve their grammar accuracy, and strengthen their speaking and reading skills. It can be played individually or in groups.

Teachers can use the interactive whiteboard to display the questions and invite students to select the answers.
Every correct answer gives motivation and creates a competitive and lively classroom atmosphere.

At the end of the game, the teacher announces the winners who scored the most correct answers.
This game is an excellent way to make grammar practice interesting and dynamic while learning English through play.
