La norma GTC 185 especifica pautas para la presentación de cartas comerciales.

La carta bloque se escribe dejando todo el texto alineado a la izquierda.

En la carta semibloque, el saludo aparece después de la despedida.

En la carta bloque la despedida y la firma quedan alineadas a la izquierda.

En la carta bloque, la fecha va en la esquina superior derecha.

La estructura básica de una carta formal incluye código, ciudad y fecha, datos destinatario, asunto, saludo, cuerpo, despedida y firma.
