1977 , when he was 18 years old , Terry faced difficult challenge . Doctors that he had bone cancer . In order to save life , his right leg would to be amputated above the . On the night his amputation , a former coach brought Terry an article about amputee runners . by the story , Terry that he would also learn to run one day .
