T568A y T568B permiten conectar directamente un RJ45 a un conector RJ11 sin adaptadores.

La elección entre T568A y T568B no afecta la capacidad PoE, siempre que la instalación cumpla con la normativa de tensión y amperaje.

En T568B, el orden de los colores de los pines 1 a 8 es: blanco/naranja, naranja, blanco/verde, azul, blanco/azul, verde, blanco/marrón, marrón.

Ambos estándares, T568A y T568B, permiten usar cableado UTP para redes Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mbps con cableado adecuado.
