في العربية، خبر الجملة الاسمية لا يمكن أن يكون مجرد مفرد أو اسم.

يمكن تحويل جملة اسمية إلى جملة فعلية بإعادة ترتيب عناصرها في بعض الحالات.

إذا بدأت الجملة باسم وخبر، فهي دائماً جملة اسمية مركبة من مبتدأ وخبر محذوفين.

لا يمكن أن تحتوي الجملة الاسمية على أي حرف جر.

الجملة الفعلية لا يجوز أن تحتوي على فاعل إذا بدأ الفعل الماضي.
