He arrived at the train station and asked the clerk , " How much is a ticket to the city center ? " The clerk smiled because Liam used a gentle tone , which was far more than the ruder behavior he had seen from other travelers . Liam also asked , " How many stops are there before I arrive ? " so he wouldn ? t bother anyone by asking again later . When he forgot the platform number , he , showing he was more considerate than people who simply demand answers . He then asked , " How far is the station from the museum ? " to plan his day in a polite and calm way . The clerk appreciated that Liam waited patiently instead of acting more impatient than necessary . Liam also asked , " How long does the trip take ? " so he could avoid rushing or pushing others . While waiting , he some tourists speaking loudly and interrupting people , which seemed less polite than the quiet manners recommended in that country . In the end , Liam proud because he realized that being polite while traveling makes the experience better for everyone .
