Librarian : Hi , welcome to your first shift ! I'm just going to explain a few important rules .
Trainee : Okay , great . I'm ready .
Librarian : Good . First , this is the staff area . You ( keep ) this door closed at all times . We keep private records in here .
Trainee : Got it . I always ( close ) the door .
Librarian : Exactly . Now , about the books . Patrons can take most books home , but they ( check ) them out with us first .
Trainee : That makes sense . What about the old books in that glass case ?
Librarian : That's the rare books section . This is a very strict rule : you ( open ) that case without permission . The books in there are very fragile .
Trainee : Okay , so I ( touch ) those books .
Librarian : Right . Also , people often bring coffee in here . That's fine , but they ( place ) their drinks on the computers or the books . They can use the small tables for that . We also have coasters in that drawer .
Trainee : Copy that . Is there anything else ?
Librarian : Just one more thing for now . Sometimes the fire alarm rings by mistake , but you can never know when it's real danger and when it's just a false alarm , so you ( leave ) the building immediately . You ( stop ) to get your coat or bag . Safety is the first priority . Someone will come next week and check the alarm , so this hopefully won't be a problem for long .
Trainee : Okay , that's clear . I'll remember that .
