La Junta Grande fue un equipo de representantes que se creó para ayudar a organizar los negocios y el comercio del Rio de la Plata, pero no tenía que ver con las decisiones políticas del país.

Se creó para que todas las provincias tuvieran voz y participación en el nuevo gobierno. La idea era que no decidiera solo Buenos Aires.

Gobernó desde fines de 1810 hasta fines de 1811.

Se llamó así porque tenía muchos más miembros que la Primera Junta al incluir representantes de varias provincias..
