Un backup completo copia toda la base de datos y sus objetos.

Es suficiente almacenar una única copia de seguridad en el mismo servidor de producción.

Los respaldos deben comprobarse regularmente mediante una verificación de integridad o pruebas de restauración.

Los backups deben guardarse en un sitio distinto al origen para protegerse de fallos físicos.

Un backup incremental guarda todos los datos antiguos para cada restauración.

La recuperación ante desastres puede requerir varios tipos de backups, incluyendo completos, diferenciales e incrementales.

Para hacer el respaldo físico de una base datos usamos la herramienta mysqldump

La compresión de backups nunca afecta al tiempo de restauración.

Cuando hacemos un respaldo automatico usamos el administrador de tareas de Windows y la consola o CMD
