He asked the long , green for help . The snake said , 'If I help you , what do I get ? ' The knight replied , 'I'll give you all the riches , shoes and clothes you can imagine ! ' The snake said slowly , 'I have no feet , I don't need shoes ! I don't need to wear clothes ! And riches do not interest me at all . I don't think I'll help you after all , ' and slid away into the tree . The knight had to think of another way to get the treasure . . .
