La capa más externa se llama Corteza y es donde vivimos

El espesor de la Corteza Terrestre es de 5 a 70 kilómetros, dependiendo del lugar de la Tierra desde donde se tome la medición, por ejemplo desde una montaña.

La Corteza Terrestre contiene principalmente material de rocas basálticas y granito.
