El oído externo capta las ondas sonoras y las dirige hacia el tímpano.

La cóclea convierte las vibraciones en señales nerviosas que el cerebro interpreta como sonido.

Mantener una higiene adecuada del oído externo implica limpiar solo la parte externa y evitar introducir objetos en el conducto.

La audición se deteriora solo por ruidos fuertes, no por infecciones.
