في المضارع، لا يتغير الفعل مع الضمير ولا يوجد فرق بين الضمائر.

الفعل الماضي يمكن أن يعبر عن حدث مستقبلي دون أي أداة زمنية.

في المضارع، الفعل يتغير بحسب الضمير مثل أكتب، تكتب، يكتب.

المضارع يدل على حدث يقع الآن أو قد يقع في المستقبل.

المضارع يعبر عن الماضي عادةً بدون سياق زمني.

الفعل الماضي يدل على حدث وقع وانتهى في زمن سابق.

للمضارع وجود أدوات تدل على المستقبل مثل سوف و سي.
