Considera os três satélites representados e as distâncias de cada um à superfície terrestre. Admitindo que os três satélites têm a mesma massa, seleciona o satélite que estará sujeito a uma força gravítica menor.

Considera três vaivéns de igual massa que se encontram à mesma distância do centro da Terra. Considerando o número de astronautas de cada vaivém, seleciona o vaivém onde a força gravítica, exercida pela Terra será maior.
