Una subconsulta solo puede devolver un único valor escalar y nunca puede devolver más de una fila.

Las funciones de ventana permiten aplicar cálculos como ROW_NUMBER(), RANK() o AVG() sobre particiones de datos sin perder el detalle de cada fila.

Las CTE se definen con la cláusula WITH y permiten crear consultas temporales con nombre que pueden reutilizarse en la consulta principal.

Las funciones de ventana reemplazan completamente a GROUP BY, ya que ambas sirven para calcular agregados.

Una subconsulta puede colocarse en la cláusula WHERE, en la cláusula FROM o incluso en el SELECT.

Las CTE solo sirven para consultas recursivas y no pueden usarse en consultas simples.
