Physical activity as a part of education is not a new idea . In ancient Greece , Plato included physical activity as part of his educational programs for children . However , it has not always been a part of the school day in modern times . Recently , schools ? focus has been on learning traditional subjects like reading , writing and maths . Although supporters of physical education in schools believe that it has important benefits , others believe it wastes valuable school time .
There are a physical education ( PE ) requirement in schools . Of course , is that exercise can improve physical health . Supporters of the PE requirement say that schoolchildren may not have time to exercise outside of school . , it is important to include it in the school day . , research studies show that physical activity also affects the brain . It helps students focus on their schoolwork they do well . , sports can teach important lessons , teamwork .
with this point of view . They agree that physical activity is important . , they believe that time in school is very valuable , and students all their time studying . There is time after school and at the weekend to play sports . Some students . They say they are under a lot of pressure to do well in school . They don ? t have time to play .
In conclusion , there are good arguments on both sides of this issue . I understand how much pressure students feel because I am a student . However , I would like to argue that physical activity can actually help us reduce this pressure . It can help us relax , then come back to our studies and continue to work hard . I hope that all schools will consider a PE requirement .
