La lista de referencias corresponde al apartado del artículo científico en el que se consignan de manera ordenada todas las fuentes citadas en el texto.

La consistencia exige mantener un mismo estilo editorial en todas las referencias, por ejemplo APA 7.ª edición.

La correspondencia implica que cada cita en el texto debe tener una entrada en la lista y, a la vez, cada entrada debe aparecer citada en el texto.

La lista de referencias puede incluir lecturas consultadas que no hayan sido citadas en el texto.

Para su elaboración, se recomienda aplicar tres criterios: correspondencia, consistencia y exactitud.

Se recomienda usar el estilo MLA 9 como norma principal en todas las referencias.

La exactitud se asegura al verificar datos mínimos: autores, año, título completo, fuente (revista o editorial), volumen, número, páginas y DOI o URL cuando aplique.

Es aceptable variar el estilo editorial entre entradas dentro de la misma lista de referencias.

El DOI o URL no es necesario verificar, ya que no siempre está disponible.
