عند وجود قوسين، لا يؤثر ترتيب العناصر داخل القوس على النتيجة.

في تعبير مثل 2 + 3 × 4، تُنفّذ الضرب قبل الجمع، فالنتيجة 14 وليس 20.

الجمع والطرح لهما أولوية أعلى من الأسس.

الأسس تُنفّذ قبل الضرب والقسمة.

الأقواس تُنفّذ أخيراً بعد جميع العمليات الأخرى.

إذا كان هناك عددان صحيحان فقط، فالتعبير يحسب بالجمع دائماً.
